Grandma arrived to spell off the Daddy around 7:15 am. Mr. C slept 15 hours straight under the watch of his dad, the nurses and oxygen. Poor guy was just so done in. Today he was under the watch of one of his favorite people...Grandma. They were hanging out and watching movies together. I arrived to wake up sleeping beauty from his nap and we started watching Barbie and the Mermaid Tale. Well...he's watching and I'm typing on the computer. Grandma has headed back to the house and will return tomorrow to take on the day shift once again.
His IV came out this morning which required a switch in hands. Good on Grandma for keeping her cool. Mr. C can be a bit of a handful when it comes to stuff like that. He wants to go home and I feel his pain. The nurse just came in and turned down his O2. Took his vitals and told me they want him on IV antibiotics for 48 hours. He's looking a bit better today then yesterday and that makes me feel good. He ate some lunch today and seems to be excited about the mac and cheese that is on the menu for dinner. We are working out a plan day by day. Keeping our chins up and staying positive.
