Tea

I love tea and going out for tea.  It was something I was brought up on.  Tea and fresh scones with butter and jam.  I opened a cookie tin the other day as I was packing things up and when I opened it up all I could smell was my nanie.  It's amazing how smell can trigger things and make you pause...
Back to tea.  I've been to quite a few tea places in the lower mainland. I love the Secret Garden for their Creamy Earl Grey Tea but I love the Applewood bakery more for their scone with clotted cream and jam.  Tracycakes has some pretty amazing cupcakes and the White House in Langley has some fabulous macaroons.  Last year I bought a groupon to have afternoon tea at the Hotel Vancouver and it was amazing.  When the groupon came back for this year, I was quick to snag as many as I could.  It is a lovely way to spend the afternoon.  I'm looking forward to having tea tomorrow, with the small sandwiches, scones and a nice pot of Tea (and some great conversation).  It's the last weekend I have in my old house and I'm going to take some time out for tea!  Then come home and pack some more!
