Our new neighbourhood and a old swimming hole

Thursday I drove out to our new "hood".  Looks like we'll find all the things we loved about being in North Delta.  A Boston Pizza, McD's, Timmy's,...Notice the food theme.  I picked up a Starbucks Coffee and pondered.  There are other things that are exciting, like the park ( Elementary School ) across the street.  Cloverdale Athletic Park just down the road.  The new rec center just down the road.  We just need to find the nearest Library.  That is a staple in our family.  BC Ferries and I came to an understanding this weekend as I managed my weekend commute to PR.   Next weeks commute up will be better as I'm actually flying to Texada Island to camp at Shelter Point and then I will return to the city on Sunday night.  I'm actually pretty excited to return the place of my childhood.  I love the Visual Impact of that Island.  There is a place called Heisholt Lake. I loved this place as a child.  I took my first swim lessons on the lake.  I'm hoping to take the oldest child.  It is a "swim at your own" risk kinda place ever since a drunk baseball player decided to take a cliff dive after having a "few".  It didn't end well and they closed the beach.  The locals know all the back trails in and the fun that we all have there.  Can't wait to share it with the kids.
