Of Summer School that is. Friday is my last day of teaching Summer school ( for this year and maybe forever). All in all it was good up until last week...but now all I really want to do is stay at home, unpack and organize. I want to be able to invite people over and not have to say "excuse the boxes". Friday can't come fast enough.
C is loving his new room. The independence he has with having his own bathroom at night is awesome. We don't have to worry over tripping over his platform to get AW there in the middle of the night. He can get to the sink and brush his own teeth, wash his hands and do all that other fun stuff ( and best of all we don't have to move it for the girls). My dad lowered the rack in his closet so he can hang up his own shirts and jackets. He's feeling a bit more self assured and confident (although he was acting shy when we were talking to our new neighbour). We still have to change out a few light switches and one more lever handle door knob to go. He uses the platform stairs in the kitchen that my dad built, can open this fridge and get his own cereal ready in the mornings ( I just have to make sure there is a small jug of milk for him to grab). The house is almost fully accessible to him.
He keeps asking me everyday when school starts. It's one thing that I really don't want to count down to....But for him I just say...30...29...28...and I'm thankful that he's super excited to be heading back to school in September.
