Bit by the bug

I've been fighting it for a week.   The runny nose, the subtle tickle in my throat and haze.  It's like a symphony of sniffles in my classroom.  Today I can't fight it anymore  My chest is heavy and I ache all over.  But up we got this morning to search for a new washing machine.  Sears is our "goto" appliance store.  In the "old" house we bought our amazing laundry machines...they did not make the journey with us to the new house.  I missed them from the beginning...some might say I jinxed the ones from the "new" house.  Honestly I did not like the ones I have but did not want to purchase new ones at this point in time.  It was hard going from a super capacity to a low capacity.  But here we go...hunting for a machine that will grow with our family.  Feeling like C%^p and shopping for major appliances do not go hand in hand.
I'm actually sitting here doing laundry at a friends house...three kids and a week without laundry.  I've done my marking and have taken a bit of a rest on the couch.  I'll do a few loads today and then take the rest up to Powell River for Thanksgiving.  Grandma's washing machine shrieks when we pull in the drive.  I'm looking forward to Turkey and Pumpkin Pie...
