Today was the start of a new school year. The oldest child in grade 5, the middle child in grade 1 and the youngest hell raiser at daycare. It was also the first day of our new commute from the new house. The morning wasn't too bad but the afternoon was a bit of a slog as we were late to return home because of a staff meeting. Up at 5 am to start the day, I'm a bit tired. My grade 12 home room consists of 17 boys and 5 girls...feeling a bit out numbered in that class let me tell you. Tomorrow is the "real" first day of school. I'm teaching Math 9, Precalculus/Foundations 10, Precalculus 11 and Chemistry 11 this year.
I've had lots of comments about my new hair from the students ( I had my hair done on Saturday...very blonde, with a pink and a purple highlight in the back). By Friday, I'll have no voice from talking all day and be dead on my feet. I am going to keep thinking about the lovely Caribbean cruise that we have booked for Spring Break without the kids.
