“Mr. C has been complaining that his arm hurts, could you
have it looked at, thanks.”. This was
the note that was sent to us last week from Mr. C’s teacher. Um… yes…we can have it “looked” at but not by
just any Doctor. She is unaware of the
saga from last year so is completely unaware that we have seen Ortho, Neuro,
had an MRI, Nerve conduction test done on THAT arm. Granted it was much better up until last week
and now we are back to square one.
We were lucky to receive an e-mail from the Centre for Child
Development yesterday from the Physiotherapist that took over for Mr. C’s last one
who thought she would follow up and check in….how fortuitous. I jumped all over that e-mail and quickly
responded to her. Fingers crossed she
can come and see us. We’ve moved so that
can cause a kink in the system. I called
our Pediatrician and amazingly enough he has a cancellation this Thursday for a
follow up. We know what Ortho can be
like so I wanted to seek out another opinion with our amazing Ped. I also want some answers. We can’t be running into the hospital every
time Mr. C complains about his arm. I
can’t be thinking it’s a break every time he says it hurts.
We are planning on attending the San Diego LPA conference in
2014 but that is a pretty long time to wait to see a specialist. I wish we had access to the LPA medical board
here in BC, but alas since Dr. Judith Hall retired things haven’t quite been
the same.
I’ve thought about posting on the POLP group on facebook but
lately every medical post elicits other comments that I just can’t deal with at
the moment. That’s another post
entirely. So we’ll struggle though and
seek answers as best we can. We’re
having that amazing Kisser family over for dinner so maybe I can hit them up
for some answers or just a shoulder to vent.
