Orange blondies

She may have been in some hot water lately but Paula Deen inspired these orange blondies.  I don't follow her recipe to the letter of the law and I definitely don't use her icing.  I prefer to use pure orange butter cream instead of the cream cheese it calls for.  Makes it so much more decadent.  It really starts with a pure orange extract....and an amazing zester ( thanks Nanie).....

And the finished product to be cut up into one inch squares and put in the freezer for my upcoming girls weekend away.
