Even though my folks moved homes a few years ago, I still call where ever they are "home". In the oven baking for dinner tonight is a roast that I asked for, with yorkshire pudding, potatoes and gravy...hmmmmm gravy. Tomorrow night a big family dinner and I'm on for desserts. Pineapple delight and pistachio cheescake already done with pumpkin pie and lemon meringue pie coming later tonight. There is something special about the town I grew up in. It's like a warm comfy sweater that you slide on and instantly feel relaxed and relief. There was nothing I wanted more then to leave this place when I was younger. I realized it actually isn't the town that I crave so much as it is the comfort of my folks. They are my "solids", my "rocks", my "supports", my "cheerleaders", my peeps and I love them. So I'm very thankful for them this Thanksgiving and grateful they are here to be able to cook me a roast beef dinner and a turkey dinner two nights in a row! Cheers MOM...you rock!
