Yesterday I baked a cake and sent into work with my hubby. It was my friend Michele's birthday and she needed something special. It's a tradition in our department at school to celebrate birthday's with cake....we all love cake. So I made this cake....an idea from the blog "I Am Baker" 
It was a hit. Unfortunately I wasn't there to share in the excitment since the littlest one in our family had a her first "big" cold. A fever and throwing up. Crying all day...so I spent the day holding and comforting her. I did get a piece sent home for me and gobbled it all up...yummy!
